Coins in the Kettle
Believe it or not, those coins and bills that are dropped into our red kettles at Christmas time are a critical source of support for local programs and services. This Christmas when you are out at a major shopping center, listen for the ringing bell or the brass band playing Christmas tunes. A red kettle can't be far away. Make an annual family tradition out of your visit to our red kettles. Let your children know the true spirit of Christmas by letting them drop the money in. Tell them that every penny of their donation to a red kettle goes to help people in need and stays in your community. If you would like to ring the bell for The Salvation Army, click on Volunteer to get involved with a kettle drive near you. Thank you for giving during the holidays!

Time and Expertise
Volunteers are an integral and essential part of accomplishing The Salvation Army's work in your local community. To explore volunteer opportunities with Salvation Army programs in your area, including opportunities to serve on councils and committees, go to our Northwest Volunteer Job Bank or Contact Us to inquire.

Used and Reusable Goods
Call 1-800-95-Truck to schedule a pick up of furniture, clothes, and other reusable items for refurbishment and sale. People participating in our Adult Rehabilitation Center program sort and refurbish and ultimately sell these items in Salvation Army Thrift-Stores to raise the funds to support this widely recognized addiction rehabilitation and life skills training program. Your used items translate to another chance for wholeness, health and dignity for men and women overcoming addiction and chronic unemployment.

Your Legacy
One of the most important and gratifying ways to support The Salvation Army is by creating a legacy in your name for our programs and services via a planned gift. Planned giving offers significant benefits including:

  • Substantial tax benefits, and
  • Potential increased income.

Moreover, planned giving offers a giving opportunity that helps assure ongoing support for the needs of future generations as you meet your personal and financial goals.
